Project Description:

The Anaheim Campus’ goal is to create a dynamic learning environment serving the unique needs of the blind and visually impaired population ranging from children, to teens, to maturing adults. The facility will support learning and foster the transition of the visually impaired to help them thrive in a sited world.

The guiding principles for the design include: Fostering “community”; Creating a warm, welcoming, human scale environment easily understood and navigated by the blind and sighted; Creating flexible, efficient and functional spaces supporting a variety of activities; Creating a facility which is enduring and timeless in character and materials.
