Client:
Coast Community College District
Project size:
57,000 SF
Project Description:
The 57,000 sq ft renovation project created a centralized, user-friendly, one-stop shop for student services. Completed in August 2006, this facility resulted from extensive involvement of a programming committee including the VP of Student
Services and numerous user representatives. The 4 story building houses Assessment, Enrollment and Registration functions, International Center, DSPS, Counseling, Job Placement, Financial Aid the Career Center, and various Entitlement Programs. Additionally, the building contains Campus Publications, Student Services, administrative offices and multiple classrooms and conference areas.
The scope of work included seismic strengthening of a previously “red-tagged” building, complete replacement of the building envelope, re-purposing of the building from its previous use as a library, replacement of all building systems, addition and replacement of elevators, connection to campus infrastructure and extensive hardscape and landscape improvements.
